WELCOME TO THE APPLICATION FOR BASIS INDEPENDENT BROOKLYN LOWER SCHOOL

Welcome and we are excited to know you are considering BASIS Independent Brooklyn!

We are now accepting applications for PreK - Grade 10 for the 2025-26 school year.

Thank you for your interest in our program. We're excited to get to know your family, and we're honored that you are considering our community for the education and growth of your student.

Applying to BASIS Independent Brooklyn Lower, at City Point in Downtown Brooklyn, is a selective, multi-step process that varies depending upon the entry grade. We have included more directions and checklists below, but please don't hesitate to call or email our office with questions. Our goal is for our application process to be as pleasant and seamless as possible!

Before creating an account, please be sure to add brooklyn-admissions@basisindependent.com to your email provider's safe senders list so you receive appointment confirmations and admissions decision notifications. If you are not receiving emails, please check your spam/junk folders.

• To Access In-Progress Applications:
  You only need one account per family even if you are applying for two or more students. Login below, then click on the DASHBOARD link at the top of the page to view and edit all of your existing student applications and begin a new one. If you do not remember the email address associated with your account, please contact a member of the Admissions team using the contact information provided to the left. Checklists by grade are available for download below.

If you are newly applying for the sibling(s) of a current BASIS Independent Brooklyn student, you only need one account per family. If you have more than one student, you must submit separate applications for each applicant, and you can do so from your DASHBOARD. You will use your login and password to check on your application status throughout the admissions cycle.

All Families:

If you would like to submit applications to our other New York City school, BASIS Independent Manhattan, you will be given the opportunity to do so after you complete the first application.
